VR, AR & Mixed Reality Training Simulations
Some skills are expensive, dangerous or impossible to practise in the real world. Thunder Game Studio builds VR, AR and mixed reality simulations that let teams rehearse inspections, operate equipment and respond to incidents safely and repeatedly.
Our training work includes a standalone Meta Quest customs baggage inspection simulator and a mixed reality antiquity zone for NACIN, a mixed reality 3D printer operation trainer, and a VR cyber security incident module.
What we build
Inspection & threat detection
Realistic inspection scenarios with procedurally placed threats and interactive tools, as built for customs training.
Equipment operation
Step-by-step operation, calibration and maintenance training for industrial machines, such as 3D printers.
Safety & incident response
Scenarios for hazardous situations and cyber incidents that cannot be staged in real life.
Mixed reality overlays
Digital elements placed over real objects and rooms on Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro.
Assessment & analytics
Automatic scoring and performance data for trainers and training managers.
3D walkthroughs & digital twins
Explorable 3D models of aircraft, plants and buildings for orientation and visualisation.

How we work
- Step 1
Training needs
We work with your trainers to define tasks, mistakes to catch and how success is measured.
- Step 2
Prototype
An early playable version on the target headset to validate the approach.
- Step 3
Full build
Scenarios, 3D assets, interactions and scoring built in Unity or Unreal.
- Step 4
Pilot & refine
Pilot sessions with real trainees, then refinement based on feedback.
- Step 5
Rollout & support
Deployment to headsets, trainer handover and ongoing updates.

Frequently asked questions
Which headsets do you build for?
Standalone headsets such as Meta Quest 3 and HTC VIVE, PCVR setups, and Apple Vision Pro for spatial computing.
Can the simulation score trainees?
Yes. We build automatic evaluation and scoring so trainers can track performance across sessions.
Does it need a powerful PC?
Not necessarily. Many of our simulations run fully standalone on Meta Quest headsets, which simplifies deployment.
Can you build mixed reality instead of full VR?
Yes. We build mixed reality experiences that combine real objects and spaces with digital overlays.
